Well everyone, I know it's been a while since I posted, but with finals and all the Christmas commotion I just wasn't able to get to it. However, I GOT MY ITINERARY!!! I will officially be leaving January 26th! At 4:30 in the morning though...meaning my parents drop me off at midnight and I get to stay up all night and wait. Yay. We will be stopping over in Denver, and then in Washington DC and then will fly across the Atlantic all the way to Moscow! So as you can see the flight is going to be a long one! Lets hope I can sleep for some of it! I will then be living, and teaching there till I return on June 5th. I am sooo excited!!! I have to much stuff to do and get before I leave it's been hard trying to remember it all! Well, I just wanted to give an update, I will post again before I leave! Thanks again to all those who have donated! It's means a lot to me and has helped more than you can know!

I'll be living in Moscow!!!

Ok, It's official everyone! I will be living in Moscow, Russia for the first five months of 2012!! What an exciting start it will be to the new year!! I will be serving at the school World of Knowledge. I don't know the details yet of when I leave, but it's looking like the end of January and that I'll be living in a dorm with by friend (and current roommate) Rauni Bradshaw! I'm sooo excited for this experience and all that I will learn from it! Thank you for all those who have donated to help this experience of a life time come about! If anyone would still like to donate you can do so through the button on the right or feel free to ask for my address to send a check. I know that has been easier for some. Thank you again!

Now here's a slideshow some former members of ILP have made of teaching English in Russia! Enjoy!

Where will I Live?

Well everyone, I have been excepted, all my document forms are in, now just have to wait to see what city I will be assigned to. The three cities are St. Petersburg, Moscow, or Veronish I really hope I get assigned to St. Petersburg, or Moscow, but know where ever I end up will be amazing! I was told they will review all my visa information on Friday and get back to me. I can't wait. Has anyone reading this been to Russia? I'd love if ya'll would comment and would share any fun stories you have or favorite places in Russia that you've visited! Or good foods I will need to try while over there!! I'd love to hear about it all!! Thanks!!

I'm Moving to Russia!!!

A month ago I was able to attend a meeting sponsored by the International Language Program (ILP) talking to college students about spending a semester teaching English to low class children in other countries. I was very excited to hear about the chance I could have to serve! Well, about three weeks later I got a call from ILP asking me if I would be willing to move to Russia to be a teacher because they were short enough people to go. So I am now very excited to say I will be moving to Russia in January with my roommate, Rauni Bradshaw, to teach English!! I will be living there from end of January to beginning of June! I will teach half a day, every day. I am VERY excited for this opportunity to serve, for the life lessons I will learn and experiences I will have.

However, because it is a Non Profit organization, I will have to pay my own way and I am currently in the process of fundraising for this. I am writing to you to see if you would like to take this opportunity to donate any amount that you feel you would like to share in helping me provide this opportunity to these children. If you would like to donate, I have added a PayPal Donation widget located on the right side of my blog or if you would rather send a check, leave a comment and I will send my address to you via email. Any donation you can make will be Very Much so appreciated!

For all those who donate or would like to follow me through this wonderful experience I'm about to embark on, I will be posting updates and pictures as regularly as possible and would be flattered if you fallowed me!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for your help! I couldn't do it without you!
